My time teaching as a parent has been the easieast ever so far. Just a quick glance at the fabulously setout, colour co-ordinated pages for grammar,spelling etc. As a parent volunteer I teach primary school children in English and Reading. I have used the 'books' over and over again...not only have the children progressed so well, but myself too. I'm now after the numeracy!
Just also wanted to add.... my 8 year old daughter, should be in year 2 is now in a class of 9 through to 12 years. From the Naplan Test taken by year 3 students (she was allowed to enter, May 2009) I've just received her results and they are well above the National Average of Australian students in all aspects. In fact her writing 'sky rocketed' to the top of the arrow!

I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and often work with children who need assistance developing their handwriting and literacy skills. I love using resources I have purchased from KidsLearningisFun with these children, and also with my own two girls. The laminated handwriting and lined cards are all useful for practicing letter formation. The kids love using whiteboard markers! The magnetic letters and numbers are also a hit. I use these with a small magnetic board I carry around to appointments, and use these to discuss heads, bodies, and tails, and for spelling words. The colours and shapes bingo game is fun, and can be adapted according to skill level or can be turned into a memory game. The younger kids also enjoy the magnetic songs. They love being interactive with the pieces, particularly as they are so familiar with the songs. When I am stuck for ideas, I just take a look at my KLIF resources and I can always plan a great session - Write a Letter to a rock star, make a word out of Playdough, play colour or shape bingo ...

Being a Primary trained teacher, I really appreciate the information provided on your webpage and the products you have available. Although not actively teaching as I have been on family leave for the last 7 years, I have since started my own children’s party business and have found that even though I am trained in the area, my overworked brain sometimes does not allow me to come up with the activities to stimulate and scaffold my child’s learning at home-this is where your site has come in handy! It has given me the reminders I need to encourage learning through my everyday interactions with my child.
