This guide will help explain how the English language works, including the different parts of speech and the rules you need to know to write and speak the English language properly.

Today's curriculum combines a mix of both traditional and functional grammar and each has been explained further in our guide.
Each section will start with the basic concepts and will build to the more complex concepts – basically from year one to year 7 level.

This guide supports the new Australian National Curriculum and is broken up into different sections of grammar, each colour coded for easy access and reading.
