Whether it is used for small group activities such as guided reading or as extension work for early finishers, kids will have matching Synonyms. Spread out the 24 cards face down. Each player takes turns turning over 2 cards. If they are synonyms (i.e. have the same meaning) the player keeps the card. If they don’t they get flipped back over. The player at the end with the most cards wins!
