Learning to Write is a Natural Process
Beginning in the Early Years.

Learning how to write is closely interrelated with the learning of reading and spelling. Writing can be quite difficult for some children due to the many skills needed.

Writing requires us to:

  • produce letters and form words
  • spell words (difficult task for some)
  • use punctuation
  • understand and use grammar
  • create meaning with our words as we are writing for a given purpose

Sounds quite daunting doesn't it, BUT luckily teachers do a great job of teaching writing and all the skills involved.

BUT there are ways, as a parent, you can help your child.
